With players finally diving in to the massive Season 9 launch, it's not unexpected for there to be changes and patches as the game progresses. Update 1.6 fixes a variety of issues, from the new Arena Game mode to the new Legend Valkyrie.

First up on the patch list, Wattson is returned to her former glory as the slow effect of her electric fences has been restored. This was one of the most requested changes to her Kit, and Respawn have confirmed that this nerf was indeed a bug and not an intentional change. The change was a devastating disability to the Legend, as it greatly reduced her ground control abilities.

Next up, the change we all new was coming: the nerfing of the new Legend, Valkyrie. Some players may have noticed that her hover ability uses only 10% of her fuel level, effectively allowing her to hover above the fighting until the last possible second, when she could then swoop down and claim victory. The hover ability will now consume 100% of her fuel, limiting the amount of time she can hang out above the action. In addition, there will now be a short input delay after launching her ult, as some players were able to cancel the ability shortly after triggering it.

One of the last big changes 1.6 implements comes to Arena mode. Players will now be penalized for leaving a match early, which comes as a big relief to many. Losing a teammate in a 3v3 PvP match can drastically alter the outcome and spell doom for your team. But don't fret - players are now incentivized to stay in their matches until the end or face penalties. This is sure to ramp up the competition, so if you're short on solid teammates and need some help boosting your kill count, the CarrySquad has your back.
