With Season of the Hunt firmly upon us and running for the following three months ending February 9, 2021, according to Bungie’s calendar Wrathborn Hunts begin today.

Season Story

Bungie handily provides a decent overview of the Season of the Hunt over on the Destiny 2 site. With it, we can see that the lore goes that planets have disappeared

Bungie breaks down the Season of the Hunt in full over on the Destiny 2 site. The story for this season is that planets have vanished while "Xivu Arath, the Hive God of War boldly moves to seize power. If left unchecked, she threatens a solar system already in turmoil. While investigating the growing threat, Osiris finds himself in need of help. Fortunately, a new – and yet familiar – ally known as the Crow joins you in the rescue." Hive shrines have sprung up, and you will need to work with the Spider and the Crow to "build a device that will draw Xivu Arath’s lieutenants out of hiding... upgrade your Lure, snare your prey, and challenge the Hive god."

Of course, the Season Pass is now live too and with it comes a plethora of content for Guardians to get their teeth into. Content that is free to all players includes the new season progress track and rewards, a brand-new artifact and mods, The Dawning, Iron Banner, seasonal armour sets, and the lovely looking new Exotic Duality shotgun.

If you’re lucky enough to be a Season Pass owner however, then you will also get your hands on the Hawkmoon Exotic Hand Cannon quest, the Wrathborn hunts, and bonus XP.

The Hunts

If you’ve already been playing, you’ll know that Empire Hunts began a week ago, so if you haven’t already been doing the quests for Variks to improve your rewards you better get on that. On 13 November we saw adept weapons added to trials, but Bungie stated that the Trials of Osiris have been delayed until November 27.

What’s important though is that the Season Mission and Wrathborn Hunts begin today, so if you’re desperate for new content and you’re dying to get some action, you better get stuck in.

Bungie also announced that The Trials of Osiris have been delayed until November 27th. This means that if you want to try and get your hands on the new Adept versions that were supposed to be added to Trials today, you'll have to wait another two weeks to go for these new flawless rewards.
