Potential Apex Legends Leak Teases Crypto Heirloom

Cosmetics continue to be highly sought after in Apex Legends, allowing players to customize their favorite Legends with everything from weapon wraps to character skins and emotes. However, the most prized cosmetics continue to be Heirlooms, and it seems Crypto is next in line to receive one.

Previously, Heirlooms have been melee weapons that have some connection to a Legends background, such as Octane's butterfly knife or Mirage's golden statue. Now it seems Crypto is next up, and it's been a long time coming. Rumors have long circulated about Crypto's potential Heirloom weapon, with some suggesting it could be a special knife or even a katana.

After an image was leaked of a new optic with an heirloom tag, a new set of rumors is spreading. While it's not likely that the optic will replace the special weapon, it could be one of the items in Crypto's Heirloom pack.

While it's important to remember this has yet to be confirmed by Respawn, Crypto has been long overdue for an Heirloom set, so if you don't have enough Heirloom Shards saved up, it's time to get to work. Heirloom Shards can be obtained in Apex Packs, which are given as rewards by leveling up. A great way to do so is to complete daily challenges and claim the XP from them, but if you don't have the time, you can always leave it to the CarrySquad!
